We are starting a recreational competition club using student from all 3 locations! Here is some important information to help answer initial questions:

1. You do NOT have to sign up for any special class or extra class to be part of this In-House Team. All routines to compete will be taught in your normal class that you are already signed up for. *Kids will all be learning these routines from their normal coaches & learning them for the Holiday and End of Season Recitals anyway. Now we will do a little extra with these routines!
2. These teams will be for the recreational class kiddos that WANT to be involved in these extra competitions. We understand that some folks have no desire to compete and just want to continue learning skills and having fun in classes. It is NOT a requirement to compete.
3. The only added expense will be for your Gym team uniform (see Uniform flyer below) and the entry fee for the competitions.
4. There will be 3 competitions total for the season: Sat. Dec. 12th + Sat. Feb. 20th and Sat. Apr 10th. 
5. All competitions will be held in the Durant Gym Location as this is the only location with enough room to accommodate families, siblings, friends, etc. attending to watch and cheer on the kids. 
6. Due to the wide age range & skill levels of our rec kiddos, we have decided that to be fair, we are giving 2 tiers of skill levels to utilize. Once these skill level tiers are finalized, we will share with everyone. *This basically means that we understand that some kids are just now learning & mastering rolls while other kids are learning & mastering cartwheels. We will have 2 different skill sets to include in their routines and they will only compete against others with the same skill set and age range. 
7. EVERYONE that competes at each competition will earn awards regardless of podium placements! We intend to grant scores and recognize top placements: 1st, 2nd & 3rd places BUT everyone will be given special awards regardless of final standings. We will also be awarding "Top Cat Trophies" that can go to any age or skill set for each competition. The first Top Cat Trophy will be for Best Technique and the other will be for Best Showmanship. *Details on these awards will be outlined at a later time.

We know that so many of our area kids LOVE gymnastics but do not have the time to commit to our USAG or AAU Gymnastics Travel Teams. The intention of these In-House Recreational Teams is to allow anyone that enjoys this sport to learn, grow and compete in a low cost, low commitment atmosphere. The teams will be FUN FUN FUN! Please consider joining!

HOW DO I JOIN THE IN-HOUSE TEAM? 

All you have to do to join is enroll your child in 1 of the gym teams through your parent portal: In-House Team Atoka, In-House Team Durant, or In-House Team MCA. *THERE WILL BE NO CHARGES associated with this other enrollment. This is simply a way for us to keep track of who needs information regarding the uniforms, competition dates, skill tiers etc. *If your child decided later on that they do not want to compete, all you have to do is request to be removed from the In-House Comp Team, using a drop or change form just like if you needed to stop a class or change to a different class. *Please note that you can continue in classes even if you no longer want to compete. No one has to sign a contract here! *However, to ensure we have enough time to get everyone a uniform and prepare them for the first competition, we do ask that you enroll by October 29th, 2026. We will be sending out welcome emails and ordering uniforms by the end of October.

Uniform Cost: $65 for leotards (regardless of which team) and TBD for MCA boys team shirts (not to exceed $45).
