Doug & Melissa Grace

Doug & Melissa Grace took over ownership of Big Cats in 2016 and have loved every minute of it!

Melissa is a certified USAG professional instructor & has been coaching at Big Cats since 2012 continuing her education in athletics & nutrition at every opportunity. She has coached in all aspects of athletic training including: girls & boys competitive team gymnastics, recreational gymnastics, cheer tumbling & cheer fundamentals (& was a high school cheer coach for the 4 years prior to joining Big Cats). Melissa has also developed a comprehensive pre-school & parent/toddler class curriculum, integrating academic based education hidden within the folds of gymnastics fundamentals for a super fun (& educational!) gym experience for little ones. She also partnered with Doug in the creation & class design format of the super successful Ninja program which was launched in February of 2017. Melissa is a devoted wife & mother of 2 fantastic (and very energetic) kids. She is a home education teacher and has assisted in leading the local home-school cooperative group along side some other amazingly talented moms & home education teachers. Intellectual & physical education for children are a top priority in her life.

Doug is a certified USAG professional instructor & has been involved in athletics nearly all his life in one capacity or another. He has coached numerous youth teams of several different sports through the years. Doug has obtained his coaching certifications through Southeastern Oklahoma State University and has worked with school aged children for the past 11 years as a school & event photographer for several area schools. Even as he continues his career as a professional photographer, his love for athletics has drawn him back into coaching once again to help mentor and shape young lives through athletics.
